79 dollar pioneer bundle to replace stock paper cone speakers.
So I got off work around 11 tonight and decided to roam around wally world for an hour. Long story short I came across a bundle made by pioneer for 79 dollars that came with a head unit 2 6.5 2 way door speakers and 2 6x9 3 way speakers I'll replace the 5x7s with. I don't know a lot about car audio except cheap price is cheap quality but the reviews said it's good bang for the buck. I have a cheap jvc head unit in the truck with stock speakers right now which is how it was when I got it. Hoping I get a somewhat clearer sound don't need it real loud.
Does anyone have pics of installing larger speakers and how you trimmed up the interior panels?
Worst case scenario I can use it for a year while i save for a real decent set up and sell the set for 50.

well the door speakers wont be uch issue, i put 6.5 pioneers and much mounted right in without any mods.. cept for drilling holes in m 92 to mount them.. the 6x9's tho in the back of my ext. were a real pain and had to pull off all plastic molding and so on trim the metal, i also added a rubber cup behind to resonate the sound better into the cab so its like the speakers are in a box.. , i never touched any panels itself but being ext. cab had more then enough room..
Thanks. Yeah I ment in the metal under the trim. Couldn't think of how to describe it I was up for 22 hours at the time of this post lol. My truck has been stripped of half the interior parts for a month or two now trying to paint them all and between work and helping my dad with his side jobs I've had little time. Poor thing sounds hollow like a work van.
I also have a 10" weak sub that I got for free I'm thinking about getting a pawn shop amp for it.

You may be surprised at how much you like the Pioneer setup.
I have a Pioneer head unit in my Dak, with stock unblown speakers (imagine that!) It sounds pretty good--I need the manual to set it up, but Pioneer doesn't seem to build bad units, even the bargain ones. I wonder if any of them are still built in Japan?
I don't have a sub, really don't see the need for my blown out ancient ears.

Haha I I just like a lot of reggae and stuff with nice mellow bass tones. Don't need it super loud but want a half decent quality. The jvc it has with the stock speakers sounded good until a drunk friend decided to max the volume not knowing why no sound was coming out till he realized the source was set on aux then he switched it to the fm radio and blew both door speakers. They're all worn out anyway. I just wanted to put some sort of cheap upgrade for now so I can get my interior back together and not have to touch it for awhile. Finishing the vinyl floor this weekend and starting a center console out of mdf to be wrapped in black vinyl and paying for the headliner and visors to be done in charcoal grey next pay day for 75 bucks. I really jumped into a full interior over haul a bit early with little extra spending money. But looking at bare metal every day is motivation non the less lol.
well i ran my pioneer's off the factory tape deck for a while till i found the deck i wanted.. got a JVC bluetooth deck for 60 bucks )originally 169.99 here) since driving while holding a handheld device is illegal here(not just cell phones) i dont need any more reason for them to pull me over.
\the reason i had to replace my original speakers was they was seized ...
anyway looking at bare metal is better then lookign at rust
