Default Has anyone installed new TV Cable?

I'm hoping to find out how to do this.
I think I have the setting of the TV Cable at the Throttle Body figured out. IDK if there is a trick to removing and installing it on that bracket.
What I want to know before I even order a cable is how is the correct tightness of the cable or ??? set at the Transmission end.

I want to get things set back to OEM again so I can improve the truck.
I suspect the previous two owners did their own thing or their mechanics did and that my problems may be due to it being out of whack with OEM settings in some places and that is causing PCM and other conflicts affecting how it runs. Could be I need a rebuild of the tranny or motor top end/timing chain (138K) but I wont know until I get it all set to OEM recs to see how it acts.

Is that a fixed length cable then? I can't really see the end of it at the tranny. Looks like it might have fixed attachment point on the end like it does at the TB.

yes its similar to throttle body side just how the cable end sits on a ball rather then sliding back off like up top

That is simple enough.SO I guess the adjustment is done at the TB and with that spring. Hmm I got a new return spring and it seems rather limp, not much better than the one on there now. I may go seek a stronger one for better peddle feel.

So I figured out the screw I used to turn the idle down is for setting the TB flap to fully closed position. I'm guessing that it was altered and that is what changed so much in how it ran. So when I get the new Cable I'll set that flap closed and adjust the TV cable at the TB from there. I'm guessing at how much it improved by lowering it by ear and the tach it will be a LOT better.
