Default 1992 Dakota 4x4 LE, No start

Started having problems where the truck would periodically try to stall while driving. Well last friday the truck went through that and this time could not be restarted. I replaced the cap, rotor, wires and coil (Mostly because they had never been changed in the time i owned the truck and had definitive wear patterns in the cap). Still cant start the truck. Tried slapping the brick and an autoxray on the computer to see what the truck was thinking, but cant get any communication with the PCM. Im aware the ASD relay could possibly have a bad splice, as it known in these trucks, but would that also cause the PCM to be unresponsive? Dodge FSM for the truck is rather light on diagnostics for the computer, briefly mentioning using the DRBII tool every so often. So any insight would be very handy.

I'd check the splice since it shuts the truck down, if that's good (much cheaper than pcm) then either the pcm is bad, or a broken wire from it (more than likely pcm though)

Is there an easy way to check the splice? Also would that failed splice prevent communication with the PCM via diagnostic connector?

Turned out to be the PCM, slapped another one in and the truck fires right up.
