Default Transmission leak identification

I have a slow leak coming from the back of my tranny between the darker casing and the main tranny. I read it's the speed sensor and may just need an oring but wanted to make sure because it looks like it may be the housing. I'm not much of a mechanic so help me identify it before I end up covered in fluid without what I need to fix it.

Yes speed sensor and it may be a bad O-Ring. I would say go to a parts store and have them pull up a speed sensor O-Ring. If not listed get a speed sensor and get an O-Ring that matches that size.

Thanks. I was confused because all of the speed sensor replacements I see are screw in but these seem to have bolts holding them on. The tranny is actually a swap out of a 1992, but I've read the speed sensors were revised because of leaks. The nearest parts store is an hour away so it makes a difference.
