fuel pump change

Magnum V6/V8 Dakotas, '94 and up, have a non-return fuel system which I'm pretty sure didn't include the frame-mounted filter. The fuel module that plugs into the tank has a screen over the pick up, and there is a filter in the regulator assembly that plugs into the top of the fuel module. If the OP replaced the fuel module then he has effectively replaced the screen and filter as well.

I have a spare fuel regulator/filter assembly if needed. Just let me know.

Ya I took out the fuel filter and could blow through it easily. I also put compressed air through the gas line towards the pump disconnected the line from pump of course. Lines is free that way didn't do it towards the engine though. Thinking it's gotta be electronics with the lines too and from pump . Because I test the connection with a cheapo multimeter to the pump and only one of the female holes on the clip connector to the pump barely lights up the multimeter. And even took back brand new pump thinking I had gotten a bad one to begin with and new pump does not turn one at all just like first new pump no click nothing. And I have my bed raised head right next to it NOT a sound. So it's gotta be electric line going to pump. Man winter is right around corner so need to fix truck weather I have too pay some rip off shop fix it.

Thanks a lot ragged 89. And everyone that's given me ideas and for the helpful advice throughout this as adventure lol man not looking forward too the shops bill but I live in snowy wisconsin and I drive 20 miles one way through county roads cornfields on both sides drifts can be a few feet high too like four and gotta work. So need my truck lol destroyed my caddy last winter by ploughing through the snow. Cracked my block like the grand canyon. And four wheels is always better then two.

Default old school troubleshooting

Try disconnecting the fuel line at the rail turn on the key to see if fuel gushs out. Next thing how much gas is in the tank? From the diagram the black dark green wire is the power wire for the pump motor. Try running direct power to that wire and see if the pump kicks on. Thats the best I can come up with without a good multimeter to use.

Hi I couldn't log in for a few days Anyway here;'s a TSB about the fuel pump http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1994/08-33-94.htm It shows wiring diagrams and I htink covers your problem. I still have a nonworking gas gauge.
