Default Dakota Stalling

hey guys, I have a 96 dodge Dakota v8 5.2 318. I am having some trouble with the truck and cant figure it out. When I let off the gas the rpms drop extremely low then the truck dies. I don't notice any dash lights on when it happens doesn't matter if the truck is cold, warm or at regular temp. Mostly happens when driving in town with speeds about 20-30. when it stalls she will fire back up sometimes the rpms will drop and stall, sometimes it will stay running until I let off the gas again. I have already changed the Intake gasket from hughes engines had problems with that about a year ago. changed the IAC. cleaned the TB, cleaned the tps awhile ago, according to my alldata.com and a dodge manual there is no EGR on this truck, have no vacuum leaks. no DTC's are stored and no engine light.. Can any one plz help me with this?

I had a similar issue with my 92. It turned out to be a bad vehicle speed sensor. The truck threw a trouble code for it though. Another symptom of a bad vss is daylight running light failure. Are yours working? Also, a bad vss will mess with the cruise control. Check that as well.

Is if 4wd? If so it's on the side of the t-case. If 2wd, I think it's on the tranny somewhere.
