Default Bucket seats to bench on 4x4

Hey guys - you have a great community on this online forum.

Question from a nubie: How difficult is it to swap in a bench seat into a 4x4. All the 4x4 I have seen come with bucket seats and I would like to be able to have "room" for 3. For the 1989 year. Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I think its a bolt in. My old 95 was that way, 4wd and a bench.

Haha this is the opposite of what most people want to do. If youre nearby to me and our seats are the same colour I'll trade you! Doubt it though since I'm in alberta canada.

assuming you got extended cab ....lol and even so its pretty narrow (ad a topper and a self inflating mattress in the rear.. works nice aswell :O )

i would have killed for bucket seats when i had my 92 4x4 , my 2002 Dak Quad cab had front bucket with center console, guess i got spoiled hahaha

My 93 has a 60/40 split bench but the build sheet says it came with buckets and a console I don't have any extra holes in the floor so I assume it can just be bolted in.

Hmm...where? I'm in CT and would trade. My bench isn't in the greatest shape though...Some wear on the driver's side outer edge of the seat....oh and something is broken in the recliner on the driver's seat. Passenger's seat works fine.

Middle seat is nearly useless for me because it's a stick. Okay, I COULD transport 6 people, but the middle guy/girl would have to like metal rod in his/her crotch.

K we didn't need to go there.

I am serious about trading but you probably want something in better shape.

I am in NYC, but I am holding off on this for now. Ideally I would find a nice clean red bench. This will wait for summer. Thanks!

I seen this on craigslist. Not sure how close it is to NYC. http://york.craigslist.org/ptd/4817855803.html
BTW I know nothing about the people who are selling it. Was just surfing craigslist and seen it listed.
