Anyone out there? Old suspect solder joint/Auto Shut Down fuse
All,
I was surprised to find my Auto Shut Down fuse wire ran to the old "bad solder joint". I cannot find my service manual and I cannot find a location to download it. Per previous cases, I was just going to check the harness and look for any joints and re-solder them. Now I am concerned it may be the joint I re-solders. Can anyone tell me if they ever ran into this problem? Blew two 30amp fuses. Installed a 40 to get home. Should I suspect my solder joint? I am not a professional solderer, so I may not have done a good enough job, just wondering if anyone ran into this issue in the past. Help please.

Yes, I re-soldered the old "solder joint" issue. I actually replaced the wire to the ASD fuse. Still kicking myself for the lost manufacturers manual. My Haynes sucks for tracing wires. I guess all I can do is run her and wait for it to happen again, while looking for the manual again. Thanks for the reply. If I find a good solutions I will pass it on to you all.

Worst case, you can find the manual on Ebay ... as I type this, electronic copies for under $8. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...anual&_sacat=0
