windshield whipers quit

Default windshield whipers quit

95 dakota sport v8. im driving down the highway its really dark and raining really hard and then my windshield whippers start acting up. they would come up and then go too far and the driver side one would go past the windshield and then all of a sudden they quit. now everytime i turn the **** for them i hear like a short kinda griding clickish sound from under the dash anyone shed some light here?

Look at the liakage that comes off the wiper motor and goes to the pivots that the wiper arms attach to. The linkage ends should have plastic bushings on them...maybe a total of 4? These wear out and break...you can get them at Dodge or NAPA.

That definately sounds like the problem. Those buchings are available at the dealership and are not very expensive. It is a common problem among Dodge vehicles.
