Default Update on old issues 94 Dak 3.9 Magnum

I came on here trying to figure out the reason for it not responding or only responding normally at random times and very low RPM's. I replaced all of the sensors in the intake and did the plenum as well as the timing chain adding the tensioner. It improved but not enough. I then had the tranny rebuilt still not its best. Today I changed out the Crank Position Sensor (do it when you do the plenum!) and it seems that may have been my main problem all along. So if you have issues with the motor not responding to the pedal as it should and you have changed all TPS, MAPP and that other sensor in the TB Go ahead and change the CPS before tearing into it unless there is a huge amount of oil in the intake changing the CPS may give you the amount of fix you want. Note that I did not have a lot of oil in the intake just some under the butterfly, but after I did the plenum I went from 175 miles on a full 22gal tank to 385 miles on a full tank. It has dropped off since and I expect it may get better again now with the new CPS. I had also tanked the TB and Intake. as well as changed the coolant and air temp sensors in the intake. I had them install a new throttle cable when I had the tranny rebuilt too. One more thing If you had ticking do the lifters when you do the plenum too I regret not doing it since it seems i have a bad lifter or two.
