No overdrive

Default No overdrive

I have a 94 dakota 3.9 4x4 last month a busted the transfer case in 2 pieces... I got a used one have put it in and went on a test drive and it will not go into overdrive at all every other gear works just fine any ideas will be greatly appreciated

The speed sensor on transfer case gives info to ecm to shift into OD. Either no signal or just bad sensor. Check for codes also, should have a no signal code.

Well when the case broke it took the back plug with it someplace on the side of the interstate can't find the wiring diagram to fix it Ispent an hour at the auto part store looking for a new plug but no luck and have tried looking on the side of the road for it and no luck there how can I find out which wire goes in which spot

I got the plug for mine at the junk yard and ordered the sensor online.if I remember correctly there are only 2 wires because the speedo is cable driven not digital. Shouldn't be too difficult to figure it out with process of elimination.
