i was just wondering if anyone has put a 6 speed manual trans in a dakota . i was thanking maybe one out of a viper truck and would it bolt up to my 95 318 with a 5 speed 3.92 gears

 

Bell housing is different.

 

I don't know anyone who has, but Tremec sells LA bellhousing'ed manuals of various numbers of gears.

And there's at least one company that swears to be able to sell a complete kit for anything (their ad shows an Edsel wagon with the "horse collar" grill ... )
