Default Dually rear end swap?

So, I've had this idea floating around in my head for a while now, and I'm curious to know how hard it would be the swap in a dually rear axle? What truck would be the easiest to pull from? Compatibility and how difficult it actually is? My greatest hope is that it would bolt right in, but I highly doubt it. It's more an aesthetic idea, I'm not planning on pulling heavy trailers or anything. I know it's an off idea, but I've seen it done and I think it looks pretty cool. Any suggestions and/or info would be greatly appreciated!

I just had an after thought, since I don't plan on hauling anything heavy, and it's more for looks, could wheel spacers and the proper rims work?

If you could find a set of dually wheels in the bolt pattern you have, I would think that switching out to longer studs would be the solution. I think any 1 ton rear axle ie, ram, ford, or chevy, is going to be way too wide and would have to be cut down. Also, if you are just doing it for looks, that would be a hp robber, as well as a lot of extra weight.
BTW what is your plans for fenders?

I found a site that will custom make a 6-114.3 to an 8 bolt adapter for a decent price, thinking that might be the best option. As for fenders I was hoping to find a set off of an older truck and make em fit somehow. Again, this is all just an idea at this point.

I was thinking about this today and had another suggestion. It may be rare or hard to find, but I have seen older (80's vintage) Toyota trucks with dual rear wheels. Some were used as motor homes. Just a suggestion.

I've seen that as well, There was one that sat by my house actually for years. Recently it's disappeared, I wonder where it went..
