Default Plenum gasket help needed fast

So right now I'm mid-repair in the plenum gasket replacement.
I got all the bolts off and the only thing thats holding it on is what I think to be the gas line.

Metal clips

Took off the metal clips

Manifold as is. All 12 bolts removed

The gas line getting in the way. Or whatever it is
What should I do from here? The cable has no give to it, very stiff.

It's the fuel rail.

It will disconnect from the gas line at that junction right above the bolt furthest behind the injector at the right in that last picture - where that connection is.

You probably need a tool like this to get it loose: http://www.autozone.com/test-scan-an...ol/429543_0_0/

They're cheap enough at AutoZone / Advance / Harbor Freight / et al.

That cap which has a Schraeder valve under it press it to release the gas pressure.

Is there anyway to do it without the tool?

I'm sure there is, but it's so easy with the tool.

And I've never HEARD of a way shy of "Cut the rubber hose and rebuild it", which will be worse.

Didja look at this page? http://www.****************.com/smf/...p?topic=9504.0 As I recall I simply tied it to the master cyldiner or something at that corner of the engine bay. The page is of a 99 V8 plenum job and mine is a 94 V6 but yours looks like you could do the same. If that page link doesn't work it is the page that links from the Hughes Engines V6 plenum repair kit page. They recommend it as the instructions and if you bought their kit they will give youhelp via the phone if they can.http://www.hughesengines.com/Index/p...=&partid=26194 RUN A VACUUM THROUGH THE TOP BETWEEN THE VALVE COVERS AND THE INTAKE BEFORE YOU PULL IT OFF.

Ended up just pulling them off with a screw driver and some leverage, got gas everywhere but it did the job.
