Default Need help identifiying bracket from 89/90 Dakota 3.9 Auto ?

Hello all,

I'm in the process of putting my engine back together, and putting all the brackets for the alternator etc. back in place.

The problem is that I have a bracket which I no longer remember it's location. It's been years since I started the project.

From my old photos the AC+alternator is a single large bracket, and the power steering pump uses 2 brackets (1 small one behind and larger one in front)
Those 3 brackets are accounted for.

Part if the confusion is that I ripped 2 different trucks apart.
1989 + 1990. One without AC, the other without air pump.

So... does anyone recognize the bracket below ?

NOTE: It could be from anywhere on the truck.. I'm just assuming it's in the engine bay

One hole has a welded nut on one side'

I started out as engine man at the dealer in 1992. I should know what that is...lol.

Not sure, but the first thing I thought was the PS bracket from a NO AC engine. Army Corp Engineers had a fleet of these and Cherokees back then.

Hmm..

I was looking at the 1990t parts manual but didn't notice a difference between power steering with and without AC...
I'll have to take a look at the 88 parts manual and see if it shows a difference.

I originally suspected Air pump, but the diagram show something different.
I have the air pump lying a "not needed" box some place, but haven't found it yet, so I can confirm.

Figured it out....
It's the second half of the alternator bracket, that's closer to the head.

It's amazing what happens when you finally find the box with the alternator so you can test fit it.

Thanks for the help @TNtech.

I really should take less time to complete a project. Though... I am amazed at how much of the small details I remember as put it all together. hehe
