Just remember, that Seafoam in the oil is for no more than about 500 miles before you change the oil.

It is, but it's also paid per mile (mostly!) If I travel for fun, we'll be in the wife's 1991 Cougar, a MUCH more fun car to drive in than the Dakota *grins*

I do pretty much anything legal to make money; my main thing is "smart hands" or "field service" as a 1099 for several companies.

I just got off two weeks doing register installs at a dollar store chain; two of the stores were > 100 miles from my shop, and I had to be there at either 5 AM or 6 AM (depends on if they opened at 8 AM or 9 AM); next week I have a survey in Longview TX then a touch screen replacement in Carthage to go with a PIN pad install here in town Monday; another PIN pad install Tuesday; and quotes on installs over the next two weeks to places like Broken Bow and Idabel, OK. (I'm in the flight line shadow of Barksdale AFB).

Pay me for the travel, I'll do it *grins* For some reason, though, I tend to take good care of my vehicles; today I will be picking the oil up for an oil and filter change either later today or tomorrow (hit 345,000; I change oil and filter every 5,000 miles.)

That's the plan anyway.

I have a 95 2.5L tbi 5speed, does pretty much the same minus stalling/ hard starts. mine i believe is the cat and/or O2 sensor (my cat rattles like crazy, internals in it are shot.)

I'm sure you'll figure yours out; may have solved mine with that can of seafoam cause it hasn't stalled yet; go figure

Addendum: just replaced the entire distributor and found that the old one was completely opposite from the way it should be; plus, there were two plug wires that were crossed, so i'm not sure how the truck ran as well as it did... surely this timing fault must account for my initial stalling issue, yeah? NOW it runs like a new truck with more pep and power than before! Thanks for listening
