Unfortunately I've left my leaky '88 Dak outside for decades, and while it's still a good work truck the seat is now moldy and needs replacement. Since it is a work truck/beater truck, what is the cheapest option for replacing the seat? Does anyone know of a cheap aftermarket brand that would fit, or should I just reupholster the seat I have? I don't want to spend more than $200, if at all possible. Let me know what you think my options are. Thanks .

(P.S. I own a 1988 Dodge Dakota, Four cylinder regular cab/bed)

I'd check the boneyards first - any 1987-1996 full bench should fit. Others may, but will require adding the front bracket and the reenforced rear holes for the other types of seats.

You can probably pick up some Vinyl or interior cloth at Walmart or Joann Fabric or something. I know you can find foam core for cheap at transfer stations or even Goodwill. An afternoon can get you a brand new seat. That or try ZEP Degreaser. Only stuff I've seen that'll get 80yo mold out of baked leather.
