First of all I have not determined the crank sensor to be bad. I completely forgot I had replaced it as it was part of many things that needed to be done in my conversion. Thousands of people purchase parts from an auto part store each day that's how they stay in business. You however come off as a complete a$$hole your first response was to stop wasting my money and throwing parts at a problem without any idea why I decided to replace what I did and your other comment that it's not an obd2 serves me no benefit at all. As far as cheap parts go well I can't argue. They do have a higher failure rate then some e better quality manufacturers. Anything I've purchased from local parts stores has been there higher line brand and lifetime warranty so I don't consider them bad quality or a waste of money. In the case of my transmission swap I order everything online from the same location. Now please stop commenting on any of my threads your opinion is not welcomed.

Thanks again for the reply. The truck did not have the problem immediately after the swap. It ran fine for a while and progressively got worse/intermittent. Now it is a constant problem. I have a friend coming by this weekend with an ignition scope to see how the signal spikes looking the crank sensor from what I found online this method looks pretty easy as long as you know someone with the right equipment. I'll post back with some results hopefully by Monday. Thanks again for the help.

I'll add that MSD's nickname is "My Spark Disappeared" - try a OEM coil to check and make sure it's not the coil.

I never said buying parts from an autoparts store is bad or wrong, I said buying certain sensors that aren't Mopar sensors is a waste of money, just like you replacing all those sensors before hand. All tbose sensors dont need replaced just for a 5 speed swap. Not to.my knowledge anyways, if so, my apologies and that's something you should have said in the first post. I didnt say anything wrong with your truck not being obd2, I said I'd never buy one that didn't have ob2 and that you can do the key dance to get the codes, not everyone knows that genius.

Also, lifetime warranty means nothing if you have to swap parts out all the time. Certain things you just don't buy cheap, your eBay sensor being one of them.
You can stop being a condensening snot nose lil punk anytime. As far as this being YOUR post, its the internet, anyone who logs in can comment on it. I asked you questions that were important to begin with and you never answered them. You've never even verified that you went and checked the plug wires, accident's do happen time to time no matter how many times you've done something or how right you think it is. Hell I crossed 4 wires when I went to do my header swap. Still ran. Swapped two and it ran better but back fired, swapped two more and it was perfect.

I second this, I think the symptoms are right on. I'd say the coil is more likely to be the problem than anything I suggested.

I'll look into the coil also. Thanks for the input wasn't too sure if they had a bad reputation or not. Probably running diagnostics Monday. I'll post back any results then.

Had some time today. Ran the crank sensor on the scope and we were getting very weak signal spikes. After removing the sensor I found it was cracked along the side. I'm guessing it was damaged when I installed the transmission. Replaced and running great now. Thanks for the support. The test procedure we did was identical to the video you posted. My friend even has the same snap on unit $$$. Pretty nice piece of equipment.

Good **** man glad to hear it! Glad to hear that one of the dozen possibilities mentioned in this thread was the culprit. Thanks for updating.
