Is there any info around on switching from manual to electric windows on a Gen 1 dakota.

also will durango door panels fit my 93 dakota?

 

I've gone from electric to manual windows because I was replacing a door and there's really nothing to it. Just pull off the door panel, remove all the manual guts... and put in the electric stuff. I forget how difficult it is to install the door lock actuators and stuff but i had everything swapped to mabual in about an hour not including.the door handle (needed to swap the lock cylinder) which is a bitch and a half. Within the 1st gens, some window regulators are bolted in and some have rivets you gotta drill out, but they're soft aluminum so it's easy.

Durango door panels will not fit.
