Where can I find a 2 inch suspension lift kit for my truck? I have looked at various sites for a kit but haven't found one besides a body lift. But I really don't want to do that. The biggest problem it's 2wd and can't figure out how to do the rear or away so it can be level.

 

I doubt you are gonna find a pre-made kit anymore for the dak. You can search craiglist but real lift kits are almost impossible to find.

 

I wouldn't call this a lift kit, but I was able to purchase myself a set of torsion keys to lift the front end. Should get about two inches out of that. At the very least, the truck will sit level. I hate the ridiculous rake my truck currently sports.

 

If you don't want a body lift, your only options are really spring spacers up front and an add-a-leaf in the back. Not sure if anyone makes lift coils for these things

 

I would like to raise my front end some woth the keys to level it out. Slopes like a drag car for no reason that I can tell. Haha! Any recommendations?

 

If it's a 4x4, you can just crank your torsion keys. If it's a 2wd, i'd say donut style spring spacers. Couldn't recommend any brands, because i've never used them before.

I installed a set of these on my '92. I'll have to get some pics for ya. I prefer new keys to simply cranking the torsion bars.

Now this is just my preference, as you could end up with noticeably rougher ride. Definitely look into an alignment after installing the keys.

 

thanks! went ahead and ordered the spacers since they were less than $6 bucks and i only wish she was a 4x4. i believe that will do the trick!

 

I have been dealing with first gen Dakotas for almost 20 years, and as far as i can remember, noone ever made a lift kit for 2 or 4 wheel drive models.

For those of you who werent paying attention, the 2WD doesnt have the torsion bars, they have an IFS with coil springs. One thing you may be able to do, depending on why you want to lift it, is get longer coils for the front, which may make it a lot stiffer, and get axle risers for the rear, which may make it bouncy.

If the rear is the issue, the leaf springs may be worn out, and replacing them should bring it back up to original ride height at least.

Another trick is to get the 4x4 springs, since they usually have an extra leaf or two, but, again, it will be stiffer.
