Default Torsion bars

Okay guys I'm still working on the truck right now and my question is If there is really a difference between the v8 Dakota bars and the v6 bars? Should I probably run the v8 bars with the 360? I hate a front end that isn't level with the back so if there is a difference and I should change them I will.

I dont know what the difference is, but looking online The 3.9 used a part number 04322517 and the 5.2 used 04322513. Both are with 2000lb suspension. I plan to try the stock bars, but if I found a set out of a V8 I would grab them.

FWIW new, online is $399. each. Ouch!!

I'm using the v6 bars with my 318. The front is lower than it was with the 3.9. I am planning to just adjust the torsion bars, Put heavy duty shocks on, and alignment.
As it is it drives fine, but I'm not very abusive to it.

I'd grab some v8 torsion bars from a salvage yard. If not, you should be able to tighten the keys and adjust for the extra weight a little bit
