I got 3" lift shackles for my 95 dakota. I get the old shackle free from the frame. I can get the nut off the bolt mounting the shackle to the spring, but it will not come out of the sleeve. It spins inside the sleeve. I have tried smacking it with a BFH, smacking the end of the bolt while twisting the bolt, tried pressing the bolt out with a big C-clamp and a socket which almost broke the C-clamp. Don't exactly want to pull the leaf spring completely off and have new bearings pressed in if I don't have to. I don't want to have to use a torch and risk melting the bushings. Any ideas?
