Default Another question I'm not sure of

Are the brackets from engine to bell housing to engine the same on auto or manual? Didnt find anything in a search, and the swap thread in going off of doesnt even mention these brackets.

I'd recommend checking the parts listings; but for my 1988, they list the braces with the motor, NOT the transmission, and show no difference for the 3.9 .

YMMV, though; check the parts list to see if they're the same.

How is that not relevant?

They show one set of braces; transmission is not listed.

What does that tell you? That no, they're not different.

I suggested you verify yourself with the parts list (in the sticky at the top of this forum).

That's all relevant to your question.

Or were you thinking you were asking something different?

What year, or years, are you asking about, and I'll link to the parts lists from the sticky (the FAQ).

I'll even look up the part numbers.

I DID look up for my truck, since I know I own a 1988.

You didn't mention, and with two different chassis, I can't be sure which one you're asking about in case it IS different; hence my suggestion to check yourself.

The links are in the message https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...e-manuals.html ..

The 94/96 link in that message is https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BzA...UxRSGpDTzBfUjg . (One book for both years.)

Alas, the bracket has no part number in the 94/96 book; for 1988, it has one, but again, it does not mention transmission, only 3.9 motor.

I dunno; if it was transmission related, it'd be with the transmissions, not with the motor.

Besides, the SAME brackets for 1988 were just for the motor, not the transmission, so how is it no help?

Then again, you should have both sets with both vehicles; you could clean them and compare part numbers.
