2nd gen full sized trucks with a V8 will all have the 46RH. (94-95 only, 96 and up are RE.)

my 92 has a 46RH, my 93 did too, before I converted it to a stick, (I have the original trans from the 93, all rebuilt as a ready spare for the 92 sittin here) my 96 is a 46 RE. All 318s all club cab. 92 an 93 2wd, 96 is 4X4. I rebuilt the '96's trans as I bought that truck with the trans and T case laying inside the bed....

I will be swapping the trans that came out of the 93, into the 92 here soon/ as 4th gear is starting to hit hard (slam) a bit, and when it gets below about 45* outside, it doesn't want to even shift into 4th. (yes I know about the holding off of letting the truck hit OD when it is too cold out, but it doesn't have to get cold enough for that to happen, for this trans to get acting stupid-- it used to work right, so I know this isn't normal) it has 198K on the original untouched trans so I don't feel bad about replacing it... truck is in too good of shape and runs too well "not" to..... and has given me a whole lotta good service without asking for much repair in return.... I drive this truck 70+ miles a day every day and it has yet to let me down.
My 94 with the 3.9 "had" a 42 or 44 RH, cant tell a difference from outward appearance those ones look identical from outside) and I swapped a 46RH into it. Very easy to do.
