This. It will also be at 14.5 PSI.

But before you do that, with no power at the coil, I'd jump the ASD and see if there's power at the coil; both the coil and the pump are fed off the ASD output.

(That's actually the easy part; it's a Bosch relay type wiring diagram, you just want to jump between points 87 and 30; here's a diagram of the bottom of the relay to help locate them)

I'll try and jump the asd if/when it fails to start right back after dying. For now it is idling fine.

Thanks for all the help y'all. Since my deal is more than simply a 'coil question', i'll start a new thread if/when i have any more problems with the truck.

Oh yeah; i now have bought my final tag. i'm sporting one now that says Vintage Truck

I can't say from observation but everything I see says they started using the CPS in 1990...

Should be on the bellhousing, behind the passenger side head.

1992.

It came with the Magnums and MPFI; the TBI units don't have a crank sensor, or a camshaft sensor.

Good morning. Apparently, Ralph is correct because i looked and this motor doesn't have a crank sensor. I started the truck and let it idle for 10 mins. and the idle was still too high. Like in Moparite's image, we have that adjustment screwed all the way in on the new part we got from oreillys for a hundred bucks! I did the key switch thing for a code and got a 24 which is a TPS issue. My buddy wants to find a shorter adjustment screw to replace the original; that sounds hinky to me. One article i read talks about voltages which ain't my field but maybe there's a bad connection somewhere.....aargh
