Default 92 5.2 Dakota questions.

I have a few issues and I'm someone can help me out.

1) Initially my truck didn't start when I bought it but now it starts. But, it takes a few tries to get it to turn over and start. I put the key in and turn it but the truck just makes a loud click noise. After I mess with it and make a bunch of turns from off to start its turns over and starts. Thoughts?

2) My hazards, reverse, and brake lights don't work. I changed all the fuses then noticed in the engine bay fuse box i'm not getting power to my 20 amp haz lamp. The other fuse box under the steering wheel has power to all fuses except #13 4amp. Any ideas?

3) I changed out my PCM during this process and was wondering if, I need to get it flashed? When the truck is on it runs fine. It smells like it might be burning a little rich. It also died in the middle of a test drive after I got it on for the first time. Since then I haven't driven it but I have turned it on to idle.

Any help would me a lot. Thank you.

I will try and answer this one. IMO usually this is a bad starter. The click you hear is the solenoid on top of the starter engaging. I would suspect a burned spot on the starter armature.....
You may want to clean the battery terminals and the positive wire where it connects to the starter, but again, Im betting on the starter is bad.

thanks for the input I’ll give that a shot and let you know what happens. I’m about to order the part and cross my fingers.
