Hood Latch Stuck

1994 Dakota hood latch wont release when I try from the inside. Any help appreciated

Sounds like the cable is broken.

Its not the cable it is the latch itself.

The cable may be stretched, so, not pulling the release all the way. Grab a friend, have them pull the inside hood release, and hold it, while you first push DOWN on the hood, then try and pop it open.
