I'm looking for a steering column with good u-joints for my 89 2WD, and not having any luck with aftermarket or even through Mopar. Anyone have a decent one laying around, or one that I can attempt to rebuild? I can use the couplings on the ends of mine and build the rest out of PTO shaft parts, but that's kinda my last resort. I'd really like to get rid of the rattle when driving on dirt roads! Or, if anyone knows a part number for u-joints that will fit, that would help also.

 

Well, I did the shaft AND joints when I rebuilt one for my 1988.

Turns out a 12" long shaft would have fit perfectly.
