Are these symptoms indicative of a circulation door? Blend door?

So using the FSM, I went about trying to remove the HVAC control box. After a few valiant efforts I gave up because unclipping the lines from the back of the box is simply something that's beyond my abilities.

Question, how many hours of labor would the average shop charge to fix my temperature control switch and cable?

Dude, it's one clip to release the temp line, and two clips to release the vacuum line, and one clip for the power.

I dunno, I do that myself.

I know what needs to be removed, my issue is being able to get to it. I've been able to pull the HVAC control box out pretty far, but not far enough to be able to have any maneuverability with the clips, or to really see what I'm doing.

That aside, rather than post yet another thread I'll just ask here - this will probably sound silly but is there anything back in that region I could have inadvertently knocked around, unplugged or whatever, that would cause issues with the truck's idle? Prior to today, I've never had issues with the truck idling or starting, today it started up and performed fine like it always has, but immediately after having been all up in there messing around with the HVAC control box, I start the truck up and it acts like it's going to die at first, then proceeds to idle at a slightly higher than normal rate, but not at a steady rate, mind you, it just keeps dipping up and down between 0 and 1. I drove it to the end of town and back, about five miles in all, turned it off and started it up back again several times, keeps acting like it wants to die, then proceeds to idle higher than normal.

I don't believe there's anything related back there, but on the other hand, this is one hell of a coincidence.

Well, there IS that one vacuum line from the brake booster on the really old Gen1s to the HVAC box; that's why mine is out, AAMOF. That, and the heater control valve line (cuts hot water off on RECIRC so that I can enjoy max cooling.) Those two vacuum lines (one broken at the firewall, one extended out but broken before the booster) and the evaporator rattling around inside the housing, anyway.

Also got all the leaves out of the box ...

But to answer your question, yes, the vacuum feed to the HVAC box.

I guess now I'm pretty much forced to deal with the HVAC box. Thanks for your patience with all of my questions.
