Recovery Points?
Where are good OEM recovery points?
Has anyone added any? I was thinking about getting some of those recovery point hooks and just drilling a few holes in the frame and bolting them on, near where the bumpers mount. Good idea? Can I just use a receiver mounted recovery point in back? Cheers! |
My Curt hitch has some beefy loops on it. They are for the safety chains but are plenty strong to pull the truck by. Alternatively put a d ring through the hole for the hitch ball. For the front the ears of the frame have some holes for a plow mount that you could use to bolt on something nice and strong. Bstrthe best thing would definitely be a solid bar across the front bolted to both ears of the frame.

You could check the FAQ2 for modification tips.
I have 2 posts on my tow hooks setups. Tow Hooks ________________________________________ There are no Tow Hooks available as a direct bolt on. So custom fit is your only choice. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...jack-pics.html 1st-gen-dakota/176727-tow-hooks.html#post1424515 http://faq.dakota-truck.net/HOWTO/towhook.html |
Could I just add some D rings to the stock bumper?

And watch the bumper be recovered while the truck is still stuck. RwP |
