I just recently Purchased this pickup. Its a V8 and the front end sags bowing the wheels. so the lowest part in the front is 4" from the ground. Recently the front passenger side tire has been making a Clunking noise when I turned. Can anyone let me know what the problems may be?
Does the front end do a lot of bouncing when ever you go over a bump? Did your mechanic check out the ball joints, and torsion bars? Also check out the control arms.
Yes the Ball joints looked new and I get Zero bounce, Its like hitting a deep hole when I drive in pot holes I get the sinking feeling like I might have broken something it hits so hard.
No, control arms are usually in a "A" shape and hold the steering knuckles, ball joints and other front end stuff. Sway bars go from one side to the other. Bad shocks and rubber bushings can cause the "sag". With the truck being a 4x4, and only having roughly 4" of clearance to the ground, something is definately wrong. Do you have some pics of the truck to show the "sag"?
it seems i have the same problem as you do. I got my 92 club cab 5.2 4x4 today and the front sits alot lower than the rear. It takes the bigger bumbs really hard likr it bottoming out. One it dries up im gonna craw under and take a look
