I have a 92 dakota with the 5.2. The other day it would die in traffic. It would restart and then drive a little longer. It died again and wouldn't start the shifter linkage broke but I I got that fixed. Now it still wont start, it will crank but no fire, it is getting plenty of fuel. I have replace the pcm, the coil, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, distributor cap and button, also I spliced the wire from the pcm to the coil because the wire wasn't getting any power. Yes I made sure it is the right wire. But I'm at a loss of what to do I've followed my manual and I cant think of anything else to check. I also have checked to see if my ASD relay was broken but that is fine.

Too bad you changed the PCM you coulda got the codes to see what it told ya. I don't have any ideas but to suggest you write out exactly what it is doing and read over the FAQ page while you wait for one of the more experienced guys to help.

Engine needs three things to run. Gas, spark, and air. You may have fuel pressure, but, are you getting injector pulse? Getting spark?

When I first checked there was no spark from the coil going to the distribitor. So I replaced the coil. Went to start again there was no power going to the coil from the pcm through the negative wire so I changed the pcm and spliced in a new wire making sure it didn't go into anything else. Got spark to the coil then. But still none to the distribitor. That's when I replaced the button and distributor cap. Another person told me it was my crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor so I changed them too and it's still not firing.

If you are getting spark from the coil, but not out of the distributor, I would have a hard look at the coil wire.....

My next guess would be spark plug wires. There was power going into the distributor from the coil but I will check on that
