Need some help guys. I've tried all the links for build sheets. I'm just not having any luck. I need the sheet to order carpet and interior parts etc. Plus it would be nice to have.

But, you know, you don't NEED the build sheet for most of that.

The 1993 parts list (1990-1993) is in the FAQ; download that, you can get the original part number for whichever color your interior is (and you can get THAT off the tag under the hood!), and presto, instant compatibility.

Or as compatible as aftermarket can be ...

Me? I'm painting the interior plastic for the dash and the A and Cab Rear pillars navy blue, to complement the Pacific Blue seats; what Mother Mopar did in 1987 when she built my Dak doesn't really matter that much to me

Yeah....that tag.... Non existent lol. Ive got 3 hoods from 3 trucks including mine and only one has a tag and that truck is a diff color, diff color interior, 2wd v6 single cab 91. So..... Yeah

 

Isn't the tag in the glove box as well? (at least, the option code sticker??)

 

My 02 had one in the glovebox, but this truck doesnt

 

AZboy I found my old email build sheet from 2014. It has a reply by link only in it. Since I didn't have an email for them and any reply on that link page would come to me
I replied and mentioned that you were looking for your build sheet & posted your VIN and well it usually takes a few days for a reply. I should hear back by Friday.

My mistake. My Cougar has it on the core support; on the Dakota, well, for 1988, from the factory service manual: "The location of the body code plate on this vehicle is riveted to the floor plan under the carpet and seat on the passenger side."

Checking the 1996 FSM that I downloaded from here, I find it's in the same place; THAT manual has a drawing. (For 1996, it's page 2 of the manual downloaded from here.) From that, I'd presume it's in the same spot on a 1991; that's a presumption, however - check your copy of the the 1991 FSM to match.

That'll give the code; the parts lists (also downloaded from here!) will tell you what that color is called.

But for 1991, the color codes and color names mentioned for a Dakota are: T7 Tundra, R8 Bordeaux, M6 Crimson Red, S8 Charcoal, and TT Spice .

Hope this helps some! (Also, there's ... not that many choics. Should not be hard to locate your original color in that list.)
