Default Clutch sensor bad?

So I'm driving my 95 Dak 4wd manual and sometimes when I go to start it nothing happens, it'll try to start and all the lights will flick off as per normal starting procedure, but nothing happens. I'm thinking it's either my clutch depressed switch or if there's some kind of neutral sensor (I've started it before in gear and it doesn't seem to care if it is or not). What has been working is either depressing the clutch again (x3 sometimes) or shifting in/out of gear... This is not something I've heard of before so maybe you guys know something about it

That circuit should only care that the clutch is pressed in, I don't think it has a clue about what gear you are in. Switch should be right under the dash somewhere. Easy to check. (if you are young, and flexible..... )
