Hood Adjustment
1993 Dodge Dakota LE, 5.2L
While I'm fixing truck stuff...my hood is loose in the back (the entire left to right edge next to and parallel with the windshield). It flops up and down about a quarter inch in the wind turbulence while driving. Been this way since September 6, 1993 when I bought the truck brand new. For whatever reason I never did anything about it. Maybe I ought to. In a quick glance, I see the hinge disappears under the cowling that surrounds the wiper holes and is between the windshield and actual hood. I'd have to remove that cowling to access the hinges (no big deal). But not sure what I will find. Has anyone ever adjusted the hood on their Dakota?

Why, yes, I have.
It's in the factory service manual; good news, it's identical to the instructions in the 1995 and 1996 manuals downloadable from the FAQ here (grab the 1995; it's closer to what you actually have electrically, so ... )
Grab that, read it, and work from there.
