I changed my oil pressure switch, the oil light has stopped flickering but now my gauge needle goes up just short of the H mark. It fluctuates as I drive when I'm at idle it drops down towards the middle but when I accelerate it goes back up to near the high mark. I know it is normal for it to fluctuate when accelerating but it seems abnormal to be so high.
If anyone has had any ideas let me know.

 

You'd need to put a mechanical gauge on it and see what the oil pressure IS.
