Rear wheel and tire max width

I have a 93 2wd std cab short bed. I am trying to figure out how wide I can go on the rear with aftermarket wheels without them sticking way out.

Pretty much the specs on a stock 17" rt wheel. Theyre 17x9 with a 25 offset and iirc, positive offset. With a 255 tire they stick out maybe .5 inch passed fender flares.
