Lightbulb Fitting 33" Tires

This is my second post on this forum. I bought a (4x4 Extended cab V8) 93 Dakota about a week ago that I have big plans for. One of the things I want to do is add 33" tires but I don't know what size lift I should go for. I would rather do a suspension lift than a body lift. I have looked over several other threads but each one seems to say something different. Some people say you can fit 33" with only a three inch front lift and two inches in the rear. Although other people say that it will only work with a 4-5 inch lift, so if anyone who has put 33" tires on their Dakota can tell me what they did, it would be much appreciated.

It will take as much as it will take to fit.

How much will vary somewhat depending on the width and the condition of the rest of the truck.
