horrible gas mileage

Does anyone have a part number for the regular gasket? no places seem to carry it. If all else fails I'll go with the one ralph linked to.

I would go with some really good 02 sensors. Don't buy one you have to splice wires. You want ones that just plug in and are made for your specific model.

As much as I doubted that it would help I changed the oxy sensor and it made the truck run a whole lot better. Old one had 170k+ miles and struggled to get 15 mpg. After replacement it's doing much better. Last 300 mile trip it got 21 mpg and that was with a load of stuff on the return trip and with headwind. This is 94 ext cab V6 AT truck 4x2.

I also find that it doesn't need to do the unlock / downshift to climb as much as it used to and engine operation is much smoother.

I bought a clearance oxygen sensor on RA, direct fit (no soldering) it was maybe $20, actually made in America too.
