Default Upgrading the sound

So I decided to finally start upgrading the sound system in my truck. It's a 96 with the standard cab. I've already figured out where I'm putting the sub and the speakers. For the amp where do most people run the wires from the engine bay into the cab? Anyone that's done this project have any tips and tricks? I'm hoping it'll be an easy job and you'll hear me coming😅

If yours is automatic, you may want to look for a plug or knock out where the master cylinder for the hydraulic clutch system would be. My 1988 had a plug; I drilled a 1/8" hole for my 12ga wire to squeeze through. Size drill appropriately if it's a plug; drill enough bigger to put a proper rubber grommet in if it's a knock out.

Advantage is that there's nothing immediately behind it in the cab.

Manual, now ... it's a bit harder to find a good spot But beside that may be good, check inside.

If it's an auto like he said theres a highly convenient plug for the clutch master cylinder.
I have a manual and the PO that installed the wiring ran it up the fender, down the door, and underneath the plastic kick plate
As for an amp I have mine under the seat, just big enough for it. However it may get warm so you'll need to leave the lid open a bit. Sub just sits on top of the lid
