But from what I understand your description of the noise youre chasing, brake work won't solve anything...… now if they are close to worn out and needing replaced anyway, it certainly wont hurt to go ahead and do the brakes, but you will still have your noise, almost guaranteed.
well.... that's why I ordered new pistons too, Yes I have tried my butt off to get a seal past a chip before, Its not easy, as for the noise, my brakes and new( ish) , still thick enough to pass for new, I isolated the differential, replaced the hub with a Timkin bearing, now, its either the brakes or the rotors, I'm not rebuilding it till next weekend anyway, tha'ts payday and I will get two new rotors at O'Rlilys in Ahoskie

Did you ever swap out the other hub bearing? I think that's where you will find the noise.
back when I worked at a shop where I had to deal with customers off of the street I sometimes would run into that, "sure" one bearing was bad... On a press together style within the spindle I would be screwed if it ended up being the other side, but there were times when I would replace a bolt on style hub and bearing, go for a test drive and the noise still be there. So I'd put the old one that I took off of the 1st side, onto the other side/ and then if it STILL made noise then that proved that both were in fact "shot".

Yes I swapped them from side to side also the noise is coming from the right hand side, my oldest son took it for a test drive and I went alone its louder on the right than the left
