Dodge 5.2l 318 V8 transmission swaps?
Can I take a 318 V8 transmission and transfer case from a 1996 Dodge 1500 and put it into my 1994 Dodge Dakota 318 V8? They’re both automatic transmissions and have 4 wheel drive.

Engine will work, sorta, but the trans will not. 96 engine won't have EGR, so your truck will whine about that. 96 trans is electronically controlled, which your PCM won't have a clue about, nor the provisions for. You need engine/trans out of a 95 or older, to be a direct bolt in.
