I would like some in-put from knowledgeable folks on a 95 Dakota E.C.U. Will a 95 V8 auto. trans 4wd Dakota (Good parts truck) work on a 95 V8 auto. trans 2wd Dakota? (Both OBD1) I no longer have the original E.C.U. in my truck, so I can't match up the part #s. I would like to have a spare E.C.U. (used original) if the price is good & it will work on my 2wd truck. I can't see why it wouldn't, but I might be missing something. Any suggestions?

 

I don't think the PCM really cares how many drive wheels there are. So far as I know, the PCM doesn't have a clue how many there are, or if they are engaged or not.
