Default Dome light

Hello i have a 1996 dodge dakota and my dome light only works with the key in the on position any ideas on the problem

All the fuses are good but i did tossed the buzzer in the woods shortly after i bought it

I don't see how the key being in would make a difference ...

See the attached PDF with the wiring for the dome light.

But, you may have bad switches in the door jambs (which ground the light to turn it on).

EDIT: How about the halo light at the ignition switch, the glove box light, and if you have it, the courtesy light under the dash on the passenger side?
