When I adjust it in, that is lowering my shift correct if not please help before I tar into it don't wont to make problems worse for myself. thanks for your help hope it make some sense to you. It, and the line pressure, set the shift points.

So yes, adjusting it may lower the shift points.

Adjust by the factory service manual, and enjoy. If that doesn't help it, it may be something plugging the lines so you get excessive pressure.

Hello I think I found the problem my throttle positioning sensor just fell apart so I purchased a new one now I have a worse problem, Installed it to day and the truck idled good at first then went almost to full throttle. Took the sensor off a relined it and it stayed wide open ? what do you think is going wrong it seems pretty strait forward installing. any ideas?

Make sure you are installing the sensor properly. Also, disconnect the battery, turn on headlights, count to ten, turn off headlights, reconnect battery. Turn ignition to On, (not start) count to ten, THEN start the truck. (don't touch anything) That lets the PCM re-learn zero values for various sensors. If it still wants to go wide open, something else is going on, or, you got a bad sensor.

Check TV cable adjustment, and that it actually moves freely. Sounds like it is stuck wide open.
