I'm trying to remember how the seat worked on my '94 Ext. cab. I wonder if when you release the side lever, the seat back releases and folds forward and the seat slides forward for access. Over the years, I've had seats that didn't work and I had to pull them out to fix a small piece that had broken. I tried looking online for a parts illustration of your seat. I found several. Do you have bucket seats or the 60/40? Mine had buckets. Somewhere, I have a factory manual for a '93 Dakota I bought back in '93. It's somewhere in the pile of stuff I call storage. I'll be out there later and see if I can find it. It depends on your seats though.

Thanks! This truck has buckets. I’m thinking there’s something that’s supposed to move that’s not moving and not allowing it to release... I may have to pull the seat out...
