Nice to know I don't have to take the rack off. I'd prefer it stay put truth be told. I bought new Moog bellows and they come with zip ties, so that will be the approach going forward!

Just a wrap up. This job was actually super easy and you definitely don't need to take the rack off. I bought the Moog K7186 bellows kit and this tool helped a lot - OEM 27178:

A little spendy but it made it easy to take off the inners and torque them back to spec. Only annoying thing was having to
unbolt the swaybar links on both side to get the tool on.

The instruction manuals that came with the Moog EV252 inner tie rods I bought said to torque the inners to the rack at 60ft*lb.
