I definitely need to get a gauge for that. My best guess is that it's a 17mm shaft. The old one was 15mm and the pulley and spacer were 3 parts plus the nut and washer. The new one is two pieces. A flange nut and the pulley. The new alternator seems to require the shape of the solid pulley as in the diagram of this one https://store.alternatorparts.com/24...ternators.aspx

I took the pulley that came with to the store and it was a .669 or 17mm bore hole.
I ordered a pulley online and that fell through. It was a bait and switch operation. Bought one off ebay it went on but did not leave enough threads out to get the nut on. So after being resentful and angry I finished what I started when I first got it which is to cut up the original pulley essentially down to the part of it that fit over the shaft. It amounted to a 3/8" thick washer which gave the clearance necessary for the original 45 amp two piece pulley to bolt on with the new nut that came with the new alt.
it fired right up and the charge was back and forth from 14.90-15.03 on the HF multi meter 20DCV scale. Which I think is what it is supposed to be. A good sign is all the dash lights and the radio came right on when I turned the key which it wasn't doing before.
