So my rubber body bushings were no good, but to remove the bolt I had to cut it off as it was spinning in the chassis mount. Now I have to replace the chassis mount, which is pretty rotten. Gently tapping with a ball peen yielded holes. I was looking on the web for replacement body mounts for the front (my rear are in great shape) and couldn't find anything. Only thing I could find were 97 and newer.
The 2nd gen looks a lot similar to the first gen. Almost like the upper control arms, which have a different ball joint design, but very similar shape.
Does anyone know if these will work?
If not, I was thinking of going to a junk yard with a Sawzall and cutting the whole corner of the body out and using it as a template to replicate this design. Looks pretty simple, but I thought I would ask as it's still quite a bit of work involved.
Thanks!
