Just an idea
I already have one of these for my Dakota; wiring the 12V to the switched 12V that feeds the radio, and putting the ion wire into the middle vents.
But some others may be interested.
G24370 - SURPRISE SALE - (Assortment of 3) Negative Ion Generator Assortment (goldmine-elec-products.com)
Limited time sale; I'd grab'em, and consider one in each of the vent passages, and possibly into the defogger/defroster passage.

I don't see any purpose to those. Ionizing can sterilize things so I guess they may kill some germs, I just don't trust ionizing. . When I was a first responder many years ago, I took a radiological officer training course. I was even issued my own radiation meter (geiger counter) to measure the amount and type of ionizing radiation.
Ionizing radiation <> ionized air.
Consider the "fresh air" smell after a storm? That's due to the the negative ionization of the air.
It also helps to settle dust out of the air.
